LG Electronics will officially sponsor the 2004 Copa America, a soccer championship, which will be held in Peru in July 2004.
The first Copa America championship was held way back in 1910. This year, Copa America will mark its 41 anniversary as South America's most prestigious "A" match soccer championship, which is at part with Europe's EURO 2004.

Organized by CONMEBOL, South America's Football Association, the 2004 Copa America will be held in Peru, from July 6-25, featuring Central&South America's top ten soccer teams as participating clubs, including Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, Mexico, and Costa Rica. These powerhouse leagues will compete in the preliminary and in the final tournaments.
As the official sponsor of the Copa America championship event, LG has lined up a host of promotional activities anchored on its company emblem. LG also plans to present its sophisticated digital products for the day's MVP, during the Player of the Match after every game.
Riding high on the huge popularity of soccer events in the Central and South American region, LG is set to promote its premium brand and to penetrate this market through its aggressive marketing strategy.
